This item was made from a tractor disk, and has a mahogany handle with brass pins.  It took four days to make this knife and stand.

This piece of “Literally Sharp Art” is a very sharp and functional kitchen utensil, and should, of course, be kept out of reach of children. For the care and use of the chopper, please see “Care and use of Literally Sharp Art” on the “About the Art” page.

The stand for the chopper is designed to hold the blade in the air, only fractions of an inch above the counter-top. In this way, the knife can be placed in the stand before washing, without getting food on the countertop. The stand is painted a metallic dark bronze with forest green highlights using

The knife is 12 ½ inches long overall (including blade and handle). The knife weighs about 2 3/16th pounds, and is designed for two handed use if needed. Even a small person can apply a lot of pressure with this knife. The multipurpose knife is ideal for mincing vegetables or herbs, and can be used for chopping meats as well.

To see how to care for the stand, please refer to “Care of painted artwork” on the “About the Artwork” page. The stand is not a toy, and contains sharp parts. For that reason, it should be kept out of reach of children. All of the profits from the sale of this item go toward supporting research on the human biome.
